Welcome to OPTI Canada
Our proven, patented process for upgrading bitumen is designed to produce one of the highest quality sweet synthetic crude oils to come from the Athabasca oil sands, with low operating costs at full production. Our first project, Phase 1 of Long Lake, plans for 72,000 barrels per day (25,000 barrels per day net to OPTI) of bitumen production, upgraded into 58,500 barrels per day (20,000 barrels per day net to OPTI) of products, primarily Premium Sweet Crude (PSCTM). We are advancing our strategy to reach a total of 150,000 barrels per day of bitumen production net to OPTI via a multi-stage expansion plan.

Long Lake Phase 1
Phase 1 of the Long Lake Project (the Project) is operational and ramping up production. The Project plans for 72,000 barrels per day (20,000 barrels per day net to OPTI) of steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) oil production integrated with an upgrading facility.
